about

This is how it all started...my origin story so to speak!
I thought that I had lost these tracks, but recently after moving home, found them on a disc in the bottom of a dusty old box of rubbish! (quite apt really! lol)

I had been in a few "garage bands" during my school years and shortly after but these were mostly just a few mates making a noise, lots of fun.

I had always wanted to write music from an early stage and in the mid 90's I started exploring the more electronic side of music and my love for the likes of Gary Numan, NIN, The Prodigy and especially my fav band and album Frontline Assembly and the mighty "Tactical Neural Implant".
I also was really into acts such as the Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Sven Vath, CJ Bolland, Roni Size & Reprazent etc.
I feel that what resulted from this was a mixture of a trance, breakbeat and industrial sound...but I'll leave that up to you!

Most of these tracks are WAYYYY TOOO LONG, some are almost 10 minute epics!! but I really was into those long trancy sessions back then...so excuse me whilst I indulged myself...lol

I picked the name "CARB" as I have a love for motorcycles and I thought that it sounded industrial and got to work writing my first album called "A new pill for the insane" which had 8 tracks of what I thought were pretty industrial (for the time) in 1998 then followed that up with my second album "Disciple 13" in 1999 which also had 8 tracks.
In those days I new very little about and had no access to the internet, like we do today and had no way of sharing these with the world so they were only heard by friends etc and that was it.

I didn't take up recording again until I started Biohacker in 2014.

These were recorded off my telly onto a vhs (wow old school!) and later onto DVD, SO EXCUSE THE QUALITY! I was tempted to do the whole remastering thing, but since I only have these on DVD and didn't have the stems I just left them raw.

Anyway I thought that I'd share them and finally give them the exposure that they never got in their day! lol
I has so much fun creating these back in the day and I hope you have fun listening. Don't take them seriously!!
I've called the compilation "A New Disciple" a mixture of both album titles....as if you couldn't work that out!

Be gentle with them...they're old and need love too!

Tufty!
